| We would like to gather cell phone numbers for the church directory in the event we ever have another storm “Alfred” or some other disaster. It was difficult to communicate with land lines and email out of service. If you feel comfortable divulging your cell phone number, please email or call the church office. |

Inclement Weather Tuesday, February 01st 2011 First Congregational Church of South Windsor |
| In case of a severe weather happening, please tune in to NBC Connecticut News, or WFSB for a cancellation of church service. The decision to cancel worship will be made at 6 a.m. Sunday morning by the Pastor and Deacon Chair. But if the driving is treacherous, please stay safely in your home. Parking has been a problem in the past with heavy snow, snowdrifts, and folks getting stuck. |

Missions Tuesday, February 01st 2011 First Congregational Church of South Windsor |
| The Missions Committee is currently sponsoring Project Linus blankets and Chemo Caps. Everyone is invited to meet after church on the 4th Sundays of the month to work on these items. Bring a bag lunch or snack, because we will be starting around 11:30 and working until midafternoon. We will also be working on these projects along with the Prayer Shawl Ministry on Wednesday mornings, and you are welcome to work on these projects at home as well. The blankets can be knitted, crocheted, quilted, or done with fleece. All sizes from 36” square up to twin size are needed. Chemo caps are knitted or crocheted, and require very soft yarn. Patterns will be available for both projects. |
