New Church Directory
First Congregational Church of South Windsor

We would like to gather cell phone numbers for the church directory in the event we ever have another storm “Alfred” or some other disaster. It was difficult to communicate with land lines and email out of service. If you feel comfortable divulging your cell phone number, please email or call the church office.

The Unveiling the Windows campaign
First Congregational Church of South Windsor

The Unveiling the Windows campaign is still in full swing. Over $4,000 has been collected to date. Donation Forms are located throughout the church…on the bulletin board going down to the lower hall, in the narthex, church office and lower hall.

Inclement Weather
First Congregational Church of South Windsor

In case of a severe weather happening, please tune in to NBC Connecticut News, or WFSB for a cancellation of church service. The decision to cancel worship will be made at 6 a.m. Sunday morning by the Pastor and Deacon Chair. But if the driving is treacherous, please stay safely in your home. Parking has been a problem in the past with heavy snow, snowdrifts, and folks getting stuck.

Missions
First Congregational Church of South Windsor

The Missions Committee is currently sponsoring Project Linus blankets and Chemo Caps. Everyone is invited to meet after church on the 4th Sundays of the month to work on these items. Bring a bag lunch or snack, because we will be starting around 11:30 and working until midafternoon. We will also be working on these projects along with the Prayer Shawl Ministry on Wednesday mornings, and you are welcome to work on these projects at home as well. The blankets can be knitted, crocheted, quilted, or done with fleece. All sizes from 36” square up to twin size are needed. Chemo caps are knitted or crocheted, and require very soft yarn. Patterns will be available for both projects.

The members of this church welcome you today. We would consider it a privilege to have you worship with us and sincerely hope that you receive a blessing from our services.
It is our desire to be a friendly people, giving a positive Christian witness in the spirit of worship. We hope that you feel at home with us during your visit.
If the church staff can serve you in any way, we will welcome the opportunity. If you are making your home in this community we extend to you a hearty invitation to make this your church home.
